26 - 27 October, four teachers of Nottingham Confucius Institute China Ningbo Branch attended the academic conference on Effective Strategies for Language Learning, organized by the Chinese Testing International Co.,Ltd, at the Beijing Foreign Studies University.

Doctor Karen Tharrington, a certified trainer from the American Association of Foreign Language Teachers (ACTFL) and Assistant Teaching Professor at North Carolina State University (NCSU) delivered two days’ courses on the internationally accepted language proficiency standards, learning methods and strategies. She also highlighted its practicality and international applicability through a wealth of case analysis and group interactions.
