Celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival

07 September 2022

7 Sep 2022 at MN Canteen, over 70 staff and their family members engaged in the Mid-Autumn Festival celebrating the event. This event is jointly organized by Confucius Institute and Department of Human Resources. According to the Chinese tradition, the Mid-Autumn Festival is a day for the reunion of the family members. On this occasion, the university leader Chief Financial and Planning Officer Thomas Murphy delivered a speech to welcome all the new staff and existing staff to reunite at UNNC.

Then the participants watched a video to learn the custom about the Mid-Autumn Festival and a legend of Chang’e. They were also interested in the China’s Moon Exploration Project, which is named after the Chang’e story.

Finally, the most interesting part Mooncake DIY started. Some participants commented ‘It is a great event. I would love to attend more events like this.’
