On February 14th, the UNNC staff and family members gathered at MN Restaurant for a lively Lantern Festival celebration, embracing the rich traditions of this cherished Chinese holiday. The event was co-organized by the HR office and the Confucius Institute. Professor Kok Wei Khong, Dean of NUBS China, warmly welcomed all participants with an opening speech at the start of the event. We offered a variety of engaging activities, including solving lantern riddles, practicing the art of calligraphy, and making tangyuan (sweet rice dumplings). A delicious lunch buffet added to the festive atmosphere, allowing participants to enjoy a mix of flavors while connecting with colleagues. The celebration not only highlighted the cultural significance of the Lantern Festival but also fostered a sense of community and shared joy. Attendees left with smiles, new memories, and a deeper appreciation for this time-honored tradition.
