8-9 Oct at the bridge near the Portland Building, lantern riddles were hung to invite students and staff to have fun of Chinese culture. Even the rain could not stop participants’ passion. Over 400 riddles were used up within less than 2 hours. The lantern riddle game is a well know traditional game for Chinese people. Given by its artful way to reflect people’s wisdom and knowledge, the game still attracts people’s attend in modern days. The event also had an online version to facilitate overseas UNNCers and UNNC’s partner university to participate in. This event is jointly organized by Confucius Institute, Department of Campus Life and Global Engagement Office, and executed by Mandarin Corner Society.
