On 26^thSeptember, the first conference on “International Chinese teaching among universities and colleges in Ningbo” was held by the School of Humanities and Media of Ningbo University. About thirty people involved with Chinese teaching or international students’ administration participated in this event. Colleagues from Nottingham Confucius Institute China Ningbo Branch also attended this conference.

In the morning session, keynote speech “The intersection of cognitive psychology and second language teaching: the application of theory into practice” was delivered by Professor Ziliang Xu from Huadong Normal University. An exchange session about Chinese teaching and learning followed in the afternoon. Teachers from different universities and colleges respectively introduced their Chinese courses for international students while some other teachers shared their Mandarin teaching experience.
