Before taking on the role as EAP Tutor with UNNC in 2024, Corey worked in various EAL roles in Taiwan, the Maldives, Vietnam, and Canada. During her time in Vietnam, Corey worked for a private foreign software company as their in-house English instructor where she worked closely with senior management to design and implement several bespoke courses for employee onboarding, recruitment and outreach which included a 3-month onboarding IT Business & Company culture course for all employees, a bi-annual IT Internship for groups of 12 interns, and a bi-annual English scholarship course used as outreach for senior-year IT students from local universities.   Corey completed her Master of Education in TESOL at the University of British Columbia in 2020, where she also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant on courses with Vantage One College, an 11-month program that incorporates EAP instruction into the first-year of university courses for students who do not yet meet the English language requirements of mainstream university courses. Corey is also a certified PADI OWSI Instructor, and EFR Instructor, and enjoys spending her free time exploring different cultures, reefs and shipwrecks around the world.
