个人简介
Although my work has spanned across different fields from journalism to women's work in the voluntary and community sector, and now in ESL education, the focus has always been on language, writing and intercultural communication. Starting off as a features writer/editor on the environment, health and gender issues in Malaysia, I later moved to London to pursue a Master's degree from London School of Economics and Political Science, and have subsequently worked in the voluntary sector in London, providing language and practical support to Chinese-speaking women migrants to navigate the English-speaking social environment in the UK. After moving to China, I have been teaching ESL in a public university for several years before joining UNNC in 2021.

研究方向
I am interested in examining how personal beliefs, attitudes and teaching practices in the classroom are related to teachers' job satisfaction and how these can in turn promote students’ motivation in learning.
