China Construction Bank Ningbo Branch New Staff Training 2025


From 20th July to 8th August 2025, the 15th ‘Encountering the Future’ new staff induction training programme, organised by the China Construction Bank Ningbo Branch, was successfully held at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC). Through a systematic curriculum design and a rich variety of practical activities, the training enabled new employees to gain a rapid understanding of banking operations, enhance their professional competence, and inject fresh vitality into the development of China Construction Bank.

This marked the second consecutive year that the China Construction Bank Ningbo Branch has conducted its new employee training programme at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China. Leveraging their complementary strengths, both parties provided new employees with a high-quality learning platform that not only strengthens the talent pool of China Construction Bank but also highlights UNNC’s professional capabilities in cultivating financial talent.

Opening Ceremony: High Priority

On 21st July, the opening ceremony for the 2025 ‘Encountering the Future’ new staff induction training programme, organised by the China Construction Bank Ningbo Branch, was successfully held at the Siyuan Auditorium of UNNC. The ceremony brought together leaders from both parties and all participating trainees to witness this important moment.

Dr. Yu Jie, Deputy Dean of International Exchange and Cooperation at the Nottingham University Business School (China), delivered the opening address. On behalf of the university, he extended a warm welcome to the new employees of the Construction Bank, noting that this training programme represents another vivid example of university-enterprise collaboration. He expressed his hope that trainees would acquire valuable knowledge and grow in UNNC’s international environment. Sun Bin, Deputy General Manager of the Human Resources Department of the China Construction Bank Ningbo Branch, reviewed the solid foundation of cooperation between the two parties in his opening remarks. He encouraged the new employees to cherish the training opportunity, adapt quickly to their new roles, and transform what they had learned into practical work skills, contributing their youthful energy and wisdom to the development of China Construction Bank.

Humanistic Care: Embarking on the Journey

UNNC integrated humanistic care into training management, ensuring that new employees felt warmly welcomed on campus. On registration day, staff members provided full guidance throughout the check-in process and arranged a signing wall to enhance the sense of ceremony. Each participant received a welcome gift bag containing a customised T-shirt, backpack, cap, and notebook — reflecting the thoughtful preparation of both China Construction Bank and UNNC in every detail.

Diversified course offerings empower new employees and support their growth

This training programme featured a scientifically designed and comprehensive curriculum that combined cutting-edge financial industry knowledge with practical skills development. The course ‘Analysis of China's and Global Economic and Financial Trends,’ taught by business school professors, provided an in-depth analysis of the global financial landscape and trends, helping participants build a macro-level perspective. The course ‘Applications of AI Projects in the Banking Industry’ focused on the forefront of fintech, showcasing innovative applications in areas such as risk control and intelligent investment advisory services.

In addition, the training included diverse course modules such as banking operations practice and professional competence development. Through teaching methods such as theoretical instruction, case studies, and scenario simulations, the programme comprehensively enhanced new employees' professional capabilities and occupational competence, laying a solid foundation for them to excel in their roles.

With the successful closure of the ‘Encountering the Future’ training programme, new staff members have not only gained a systematic understanding of banking operations but have also made significant progress in professional ethics and teamwork.
