The Step to Glow is proposed and organised by SESA as part of the UNNC International Education Week. It is a great opportunity to showcase students's innovative projects and exchange ideas. On the fair, students and staff are able to experience the beauty of science, engineering and technology through the novel and interesting games designed by FoSE students.

FoSE students held science and technology fair and carnival named “Step to Glow” on campus as part of the UNNC International Enducation Week activities. SESA, short for Science and Engineering Students Association, proposed and organised the whole Fair with the full support from the Faculty of Science and Engineering and Department of Campus life.

The “Step to Glow” Fair consists of three parts of activity: Carnival, Tech Exhibition and Guest Lectures. It is a gala for all science and engineering students, showcasing their projects and exchanging their ideas with peer students and staff. Meantime, it is a great platform to make the science and technology more closed to our daily life, unveiling the science and technology knowledge through the novel and interesting games designed by our students.  A series of public lectures has been organised. Speakers come from the leading start-up companies in the science and technology sectors.

Professor Tao Wu, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, highly values this activity and hopes more students could be inspired through these interesting science and technology projects. He also attaches great importance to students’ innovative projects. With more students learning the science, engineering, technology and mathematics, it will help to advance the development of society and improve people’s life.

Dr Chiew-Foong Kwong, Faculty Director of Admission and International Relations, mentioned that it is good opportunity for our students to practice what they had learn in the class to solve real-life practical engineering problems. This is reflected in some of the projects displayed in some of the display booth. One good example is the electric racing car, the Formula Student project. The student can also take the opportunity to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics education to the public.

Worth to mention, those who missed the "Step to Glow" activities could also attend the UNNC Open Day on 14th April 2019. SESA students will continue some of the most interesting games for the Open Day visitors. Looking forward to seeing you there.
