The civil engineering industry continues to be one of the most vital industrial sectors and our degrees can open up a world of opportunity for you. As a Nottingham graduate you will be in high demand both in China and abroad, and Nottingham graduates attain high positions in industry, both in the civil engineering profession and in other sectors. A degree in civil engineering from Nottingham demonstrates that you can think critically, solve complex problems and work effectively, so demand is also high from other professions such as finance and accountancy, education, marketing and management consultancy. Most UNNC civil engineering graduates will continue into postgraduate studies, to further develop their skills and better prepare for their future career. The majority of them are admitted to postgraduate courses at some of the world's top universities.

Of the 31 graduates who graduated from BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering in 2019, 28 chose to continue their studies. 46.4% of them
were admitted into the top 50 universities in the world. And 1 student were admitted by the University of Nottingham as
PhD.
