Biography
Before joining UNNC, I had taught EAP/ESP at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and EAP at a number of UK universities such as Southampton, Warwick, and Coventry. My passion has always been to empower students by enabling them to understand and practice EAP, and relate these skills to current and future employability.
Research interests
I am particularly interested in the relationship between English Prosody and intelligibility, specifically the pedagogical applications of Discourse Intonation to academic listening and speaking skills. I am also interested in examining EAP teachers’ perceptions of intonation and its place in the classroom.
