29 March 2023

On 17 March, the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) was awarded the 2023 University Partnership Award for Registered Education Provider by the Project Management Institute (China) in Beijing. This recognises that Nottingham University Business School China (NUBS China) has been committed to introducing cutting-edge international project management courses over the years and to developing "hands-on" project management elites for Chinese companies.

Founded in the USA in 1969, the Project Management Institute (PMI) is a global professional authority comprised of researchers, academics, consultants and managers in the project management profession.

UNNC is a Registered Education Provider of PMI, which means that the relevant courses offered by NUBS China not only meet or exceed the rigorous standards set by PMI in terms of quality and effectiveness, but also meet the training requirements of PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. The PMP certification has wide international reach and is the definitive certification in project management used globally and is favoured by most Fortune 500 companies.

NUBS China also plans to add the PMP course to future Executive Programmes to directly help companies develop project management talent. Through the PMP course, corporate talent can gain access to the most advanced international concepts and methods for streamlining work processes, improving efficiency, reducing operational costs and enhancing competitiveness.

NUBS China while adhering to "international, interactive and innovative" teaching, has been actively introducing international and authoritative industry qualification courses and training, not only to enable students to grasp the most advanced business management concepts, but also to help them pass professional examinations to obtain various industry qualifications, enhancing their employment competitiveness and achieving faster career development.

In addition to PMI, NUBS China also cooperates deeply with a number of international industry associations. For example, graduates of finance and accounting programmes at UNNC can obtain exemptions from certain modules when taking the professional examinations of ACCA, ICAEW and CPA Australia.

The Finance and Investment programme offered by NUBS China is also a University Affiliation Programme accredited by the CFA Institute, with a curriculum that is closely aligned to financial and investment industry practices and helps students prepare for the CFA exams.

In addition, the MSc International Management (Marketing) at NUBS China is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), the world's leading professional body for marketers. Students in this programme will have the opportunity to study for a Master's degree alongside the CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing, awarded by the Cambridge Institute of Marketing. According to research, graduates with a CIM certificate earn an average salary 20% higher than the average marketing graduate's starting salary and are more likely to be promoted.
