International Workshop on Three-Phase Flow Modelling and Simulation

    New International Conference Centre

International Workshop on Three-Phase Flow Modelling and Simulation is a Sino-Germany research forum to discuss challengeable topics in understanding the complex nature of three-phase flows. The workshop is jointly chaired by Prof. Martin Sommerfeld and Prof. Xiaogang Yang, and supported by joint research programme of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) - Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation). The workshop activities will cover two and half days including: half day registration, one and half day presentations, and half day field visit. Topic of interest include:

  • Gas-liquid and gas-liquid-solid transport phenomena
  • Interfacial Heat and mass transfer in multiphase systems
  • Phase interactions
  • Two-phase and three-phase flow turbulence modelling
  • Meso-science phenomena
  • Two-phase and three-phase flow numerical modelling

Researchers and experts from both academia and industrial partners in the area of multiphase flow both in China and Germany will be invited to participate the workshop to present their exciting research and results. Through broad consultations and practice sharing, the workshop will promote the advanced and high-valued techniques on modelling and simulations of three-phase flows, encourage knowledge exchange, and facilitate research cooperation.
