University life
You will find our campus vibrant and welcoming with lots of opportunities to get involved in events and activities that interest you.
The University of Nottingham Ningbo China has a strong sense of community, created by:
-
approachable staff
-
a welcoming student body
-
excellent support services
-
a wide range of activities to help you meet new people and feel at home
We recognise that your student experience is about much more than time spent in lecture rooms and the library. It’s about feeling safe on campus and having good food to eat. It’s about the social spaces available to you, and the clubs and societies you join. It’s about the whole campus culture.
Our extensive support network is designed to ensure you make the most of your years at university. Academic tutoring, counselling for personal problems, 24-hour access to medical care on campus, free Mandarin lessons and career guidance are among the many services we offer to support you.
We encourage students to socialise across cultural groups through the many societies and at well-organised events. Students have strong representation through the Students’ Union|.
You can opt to live in an international student residence, where bedrooms and bathrooms look a lot like they do at home and where there is access to your own cooking facilities.
Food and entertainment
Restaurants, coffee shops, common rooms and regular events on campus; there are many places and opportunities to socialise.
We have a range of sports facilities on campus that are open to all students, from serious athletes to casual competitors. You will also get the chance to try new activities that are popular in Asia.
There’s lots to do in Ningbo, whether you like relaxing in the fresh air or partying late into the night.
