International Finance Research Centre

According to the "Strategic Cooperation Agreement" signed by Ningbo Municipal Government and China Academy of Social Sciences on October 17, 2008, International Finance Research Centre was jointly set up in the University of Nottingham Ningbo, China which is responsible for management of the Centre. Other main participants are Ningbo Financial Affairs Office, Ningbo University, Zhejiang University Ningbo Institute of Technology, Zhejiang Wanli University. The Institute of Finance and Banking in China Academy of Social Sciences supports The University of Nottingham Ningbo China and its main participants with the management of the centre.

Through sharing both sides' research resources, the centre aims to cultivate a group of high-level scholars and experts to form a research team; to create a number of national research projects; to achieve influential research results with Ningbo characteristics; to develop a number of high-end training programmes; to provide effective consultative services for relevant government departments' policy-making in the Ningbo Municipal Government; to build the centre into a research organisation with local characteristics, a leading one in China, and to serve Ningbo's economic and social development.
