Entry requirements for applicants from China's Hong Kong region
Preliminary year (year one) entry
HKDSE |
Applicants from China's Hong Kong region may be considered for preliminary year with HKDSE results of 3, 3, 3, 3. These results should normally include two electives and exclude Liberal Studies. Applicants also need to take HKDSE’s English result of 4 or the IELTS overall 5.5 or above (no less than 5 in any element).

First division line or above (score of 400) with English score no less than 115.

Qualifying year (year two) entry

Applicants from China's Hong Kong region may be considered for qualifying year with HKDSE results of 5, 5, 4. These results should normally include two electives and exclude Liberal Studies, Chinese Language and English Language. Applicants also need to take HKDSE’s English result of 5 or the IELTS with an overall score of 6.5 or above (writing no less than 6).

Higher level Diplomas and Associate Degrees |
Applicants who hold higher level diplomas or associate degrees can be considered for year two entry. A typical requirement would be an average grade of B (70-79%) or a GPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0) in a relevant subject. Applicants also must take the IELTS with an overall score of 6.5 or above (writing no less than 6).

Typically 80% or GPA 3.2/4 in the Senior High School Diploma, plus 80% in specific subjects e.g. Maths and Physics for the Engineering programmes. Hold IELTS with an overall score of 5.5 (no less than 5 in any element).

First division line or above (score of 400) with English score no less than 115.

Joint Entrance Examination Scheme for China's Macao Region Recommended Students |
There will be an online interview for all China's Macao region recommended students, typically in January. Applicants are encouraged to inquire about the admissions policies, application procedures and other related information on the website of Joint Entrance Examination of Recommended Students from China's Macao to Degree Courses of Higher Education Institutions in China's Mainland.

General Scholastic Ability Test (GSAT) |
For graduates from high schools in China's Taiwan region, they should achieve "Good" or "Excellent" in the General Scholastic Ability Test. For graduates from high schools in China's mainland, they should achieve "Average" or "Good" in the General Scholastic Ability Test. Applicants must take the IELTS with an overall score of 5.5 or above (no less than 5 in any element).

Applicants also must take the IELTS with an overall score of 6.5 or above (writing no less than 6).
