 China Media & Journalism Research Group

Launched in October 2010, the research group on Chinese Media and Journalism examines the transforming media and journalism landscape in China as well as its political, social and cultural implications within a context of globalization. Its activities include joint as well as individual projects across different spectrums ranging from media policy, media censorship, media convergence, news organizations, cross-media production, journalistic ethics, investigative, citizen, war/conflict and digital journalism, state and media, media and democracy, international relations and international news coverage.

• Tactics of bypassing media censorship in China

• Partner or exploiter: news coverage on Sino-African relations

• Newsroom of the future: an analysis of newsroom convergence models in China

• China’s media in a global context
