UNNC celebrates research excellence and global collaboration image1


On the evening of 18 December, the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) Research and Knowledge Exchange (RKE) Impact Award dinner was held with great fanfare. The event included the unveiling of the Ningbo Overseas Collaboration Centre (China-UK), the presentation of a series of RKE Impact Awards, and the inauguration of UNNC 20 Research Impact Cases of Solving Problems and Improving Lives.

These activities were designed to highlight the developmental milestones and significant achievements of UNNC in the realm of science and innovation, along with its substantial contributions to societal, economic, environmental, and cultural spheres.

The year 2024 signifies the 20th anniversary of the university's establishment. From securing numerous major government awards at the start of the year, unveiling various research outcomes throughout, to the end-of-year presentation of 20 research impact cases, UNNC's quest for excellence is relentless.

“Hard work, dedication, and passion from our research community have brought us to this point. Let us also look forward to the future with anticipation and excitement, as we continue to break new ground in research and knowledge exchange,” said Professor Laura Bishop, UNNC Vice Provost for Research and Knowledge Exchange, in her opening remarks.
