The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) was recognised as a 5 stars institution according to the latest QS Stars Rating results! On 5 November, Professor Jon Garibaldi, UNNC Provost, received the certification on behalf of the university at the 2024 Asia-Pacific Higher Education Summit in Macau.
QS Stars is an opt-in university evaluation system that uses a comprehensive framework to rate and showcase university performance across five key categories: Learning Experience, Employability & Outcomes, Sustainability, Research & Innovation, and Global Engagement.
This system extends beyond the scope of traditional university rankings. Since its launch in 2009, the evaluation has engaged over 700 universities from more than 70 countries and regions.
This certification is not only an international acknowledgment of UNNC's excellence in global higher education but also a testament to its dedication to quality education and social impact.
The evaluation results show that UNNC achieved an "Excellent" overall rating and received 5 stars in all nine selected evaluation categories. Furthermore, there has been notable progress and distinct advantages compared to the 2021 evaluation results.
"The QS Stars Rating System provides a comprehensive, objective and valid assessment of participating universities. I am delighted that UNNC has been awarded 5 stars, both at overall university level and for nine specific categories. This achievement further recognises our commitment to providing a high quality educational experience for our students," noted Professor Garibaldi. "Moving forward, UNNC will continue to shine in the education field, and equip our students with global competitiveness enabled by our quality education, innovative research and outstanding learning environment."
