As a component of UNNC Cross Cultural Event, the Chinese Fan Painting was organized on 18 April 2.00-5.00pm at DB-C06. About 20 students and staff participated in the event. Under the instruction of Mr Li, the participants learnt how to use the Chinese brush pen to draw special items and make their unique fan.

Painting and calligraphy on fan has long history in China. Given by the displayed exquisite painting and calligraphy skills, the function of a fan is beyond fanning. It is a kind of innovative indoor decoration and personal collection. A fan with one’s beautiful handwriting is always an attentive gift for friends.

This event was jointly organized by the Confucius Institute and Department of Human Resources, and executed by UNNC Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Society.
