Mandarin Learners Attended the Costume Festival in Cicheng

17 November 2019

17 November, Nottingham Confucius Institute China Ningbo Branch led 20 Mandarin learners from Britain, Denmark, Ukraine, Thailand and Indonesia to an ancient town called ‘Cicheng’ to participate in the Han Dynasty Style Costume Festival of Zhejiang.

To echo the theme of this festival, the participants were dressed in traditional Chinese costume for the day. They visited the over 200 years old ancient architectural complex called ‘Fengyu’s House’ where handicrafts like Chinese knot, embroidery and bamboo weaving were displayed. After a light lunch of authentic pastries, fruits and tea, the participants were attracted by Chinese archery and had a lot of fun with the game.
