Director, GEP China

GEP - the Globalisation and Economic Policy Research Centre - is a major European centre studying the impact of globalisation and economic policy. Sir Professor David Greenaway, former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nottingham and Li Dak Sum Distinguished Chair Professor in International Economics at UNNC, was the founding Director of GEP in 2001. In 2008, he established a branch of the GEP Research Centre at UNNC. GEP-China provides a forum for the discussion, in particular among scholars based in Asia, of policy-relevant economic issues linked by the broad themes of globalisation and the Chinese economy.

GEP-China encourages the development of new research projects and supports both fundamental and applied research. Its activities include a seminar series, a lecture series and the organisation of regular conferences and workshops. It also publishes a discussion paper series.
