Nottingham Community Garden

Nottingham Community Garden is an area run by UNNC Staff Gardening Club, which could be contact at Staff.Garden@nottingham.edu.cn

It is a space for all of the members to share the love for growing their own food, and they are dedicated to doing so responsibly, sustainably, and as a learning community.

Members are trying to make the garden as organic as possible, with the use of no pesticides or herbicides.

Instead of depending on chemical fertilizers, the Staff Garden has an extensive composting programme which makes use of the grass trimmings and grounds waste from around the campus, along with the vegetable waste from staff and any weeds collected on-site.  Several times a semester the group works together to turn the compost and use it to organically fertilize the plots.
