Mechanical, materials and manufacturing engineering at The University of Nottingham Ningbo China is an exciting, dynamic and fast growing department. The department offers BEng (Hons) Product Design and Manufacture (2+2, 4+0) and BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering (2+2, 4+0) programmes which cover mechanics, dynamics, kinetics, thermodynamics, energy, fluids, materials, manufacture, ergonomics and design.

The Department of Mechanical, Materials and Manufacturing Engineering has strong links with the corresponding departments in the UK and Malaysia campuses of the University of Nottingham. Its exceptionally close involvement with Chinese and international institutions and industries ensures a high quality teaching and research in the relevant professional fields.

SESA

As the only engineering organisation in The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC), SESA, the Science and Engineering Student Association was formally founded up in November 2011 on the existing basis of IMechE UNNC Student Chapter. The setting up of the student association has already gotten the great support from the engineering division. Eight different professional institutions, including IMechE, CIBSE, ICE/ICES, IOM3, IET, CIWEM, IED and IChemE are to guide the science and engineering students progressing to charted engineers And inspire them of future professional career.
