Passing Hope reaches milestone at Qinghai Province
Passing Hope, a charity project that focuses on sports education for disadvantaged children, has unveiled another football pitch. In early August, UNNC students, Life Cycle charity staff and members of the University Sports department travelled to Yushu, Qinghai Province to assist with the new football facilities and help with the training of budding young footballers.
The project team spent four days building the football pitch in the region, which has previously been badly affected by earthquakes.
This is Passing Hope’s 21st football pitch. At the beginning of this year, the team set an annual goal of 20 football pitches in 2018. Now over 300 volunteers from across the country have joined the cause, and more than 7,000 underprivileged children have benefited from the project.
