UNNC wins top business award
The University of Nottingham Ningbo China achieved a prestigious accolade at the recent 2016 British Business Awards in Shanghai. UNNC took the award for “Educational Institutional Partnership of the Year”, beating off fierce competition from other universities, including Bangor University / CSUFT (Hunan) and Xi’an Jiaotong – Liverpool University (Suzhou).
As well as expressing his delight at the award, Provost Chris Rudd pointed out that the fostering of a student-focused experience was a key ingredient in the University’s overall success. “UNNC revolves around our students, both Chinese and those from overseas,” he said. “We provide a multitude of opportunities for students to engage with the real world - to intern with local industries and businesses, to forge valuable study and working relationships, gain entrepreneurship skills and to build up their confidence. I believe that this award reflects those achievements.”
Hosted by the British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai, the British Business Awards are held every two years. They celebrate British success in innovation and enterprise and recognise Chinese investment into the UK.
