Can personal documents be saved on the laptop?
The hard drive cannot be used for temporary or permanent storage of files. Security software reconfigures the laptop each time it is rebooted erasing any files on the hard drive. Therefore, we suggest that you e-mail yourself files you want to save, or save to a USB drive or cloud drive.
 
How can I use the laptop for wireless printing?

Use ‘Web Print’ after you log onto webprint.nottingham.edu.cn.

Could I borrow power cable?

If you borrow laptop intended for two weeks loan, you can borrow power cable with the laptop. For six-hour loan laptop, power cable is not provided. Generally the battery can last for over 6 hours. If it is out of charge, you can bring it back and exchange a new one.

Can I book a laptop in advance?

Advance bookings/holds for laptops will not be accepted.

 
Are there fees for borrowing laptops?
There are no borrowing fees for laptops. 
 
What if I need help?

Please ask staff for advice on using the laptop. Library staff may provide assistance with issues related to laptop borrowing. For problems with installed software, wireless access and other technical support, please contact IT Services.
