Ningbo British International School shares a spacious, contemporary campus with the High School Affiliated to the University of Nottingham, China Campus (UNNCAHS), each having discrete teaching and learning space, whilst sharing the larger facilities and cooperating in educational ventures for mutual benefit.

Teaching staff

Our international teaching team consists of highly qualified and experienced teachers whose first language is English. Working alongside them, we have a team of excellent Chinese co-teachers whose first responsibility is to teach Chinese but whose contribution extends to many other areas of school life. The combination of Western and Asian approaches to teaching and learning is a powerful resource for learning.

High-quality and diverse teaching

The school is now authorized by Cambridge International to deliver the Cambridge Primary and Secondary curricula leading to IGCSE Examinations and A-Levels. NBIS’s curriculum successfully aligns with curricula of many countries, so that international students returning to their home country are in no way educationally disadvantaged by their time in China.

World-class facility

NBIS offers Computer Lab with 20 high-spec work stations, Science Labs accredited by Cambridge International as well as Music Room, Library and Drama Studio. All classrooms have interactive white boards and access to independent NBIS Wi-Fi.

It also provides specialized sections for early years, primary and secondary with spacious, well-equipped playgrounds. Athletic track and field with a stadium capacity of 400 plus 5 outdoor basketball courts and 2 volleyball courts.
