UNNC provides an International platform for PhD students. PhD students have opportunities to travel or study abroad, for example in UK or in Malaysia, or in other International Institutions. This kind of studying abroad experience kind of help students to build their own social network, to build up connections and to utilize the resources from other institutions. In general this kind of experience helps students a lot. PhD students in UNNC also have a great access to the senior scholars. We have the Li Dak Sum Chair Professorship. Those LDS Chair Professors are all very experience or research leaders in their disciplines.

My PhD research explores the use of virtual reality and augmented reality applications in cultural heritage.I construct and re-construct digital objects and virtual environment for users to access the cultural heritage with a rich array of information and dynamic interactions.
One of the reasons for me to choose UNNC is that my supervisor is one of the leading experts in the field of digital heritage. He can provide me great support in terms of academic research, industry collaborations as well as lots of public engagement opportunities and networking resources.
In addition, UNNC is a global platform, which allows students to seek for support and collaborations from different fields, and to do inter-disciplinary research. I went to the UK for the first year, where I took course to formulate my research questions and directions and to get involved in some real-world projects. This is a very valuable experience for me. I appreciate the opportunity that UNNC gave me.
