UNNC HIV/AIDS Awareness Week on 27 November – 3 December 2017
On Wednesday 29 November, 1.30-2.30pm, TB118, Understanding HIV/AIDS: prevention and treatment. This activity is for students and will be held in Chinese.
On Wednesday 29 November, 7.30 pm, Siyuan Auditorium, Movie night. ‘The Normal Heart’ (2014). A largely autobiographical film about the rise of HIV/AIDS in New York between 1981 and 1984. The film contains content that is graphic in nature. Viewer discretion is advised. The film is in English with English subtitles.
On Thursday 30 November, 7.30 pm, SAIC (Basement of PB Building), Student Speech Competition. The audience will support the jury to award the prize to the winner(s). The activity (in English) is organised by Student Engagement Office.
On Saturday 2 December, 9am-5pm, DB-A06, 2nd Symposium on HIV/AIDS. Researchers will share their experiences and newest findings about HIV/AIDS. It is an opportunity to know better the situation in China. The languages spoken will be English and Chinese, with interpreting service provided by the MA students in Interpreting & Translation. The Symposium is funded by the Institute of Asia and Pacific Studies (IAPS) and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
