As invited by Provost Office, Mr Patrick Horgan, Regional Director of North East Asia of Rolls-Royce, is visiting UNNC on 24th September to give a talk, to share with us about Rolls-Royce and his personal career perspectives.

About the Speaker
Patrick Horgan is Regional Director North-East Asia for Rolls-Royce, covering China, Japan and Korea, based in Beijing. His background spans business, diplomacy and cultural relations, combined with deep Asia and China experience dating back to 1989.
From 1998 to 2008 he was a consultant and managing director of an international corporate advisory firm in China. He advised many of the world's leading companies on investment, strategy and policy issues in the Chinese market. Prior to that, Patrick worked at Jardine Matheson in Hong Kong from 1994-1998.
Patrick served as Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in China from 2004 to 2006 and on the Executive Committee of the EU Chamber from 2012-2014. In 2007 he was awarded an OBE by the Queen for services to the business community in China. For two years prior to Rolls-Royce, he was Counsellor for Education at the British Embassy in Beijing and Director of Programmes for the British Council in Greater China. He is a graduate of Oxford University, and a Mandarin speaker.
