Organised by The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC)'s School of English, as part of The Bookworm Literary Festival, a yearly international literary festival held in various cities across China, a host of critically acclaimed writers from all over the world will come to UNNC to take part in a series of public talks.
Diana Yeh is a writer and visiting lecturer at the University of East London. Her research focusses on art and migration and her work examines the lives and works of artists of Chinese descent in order to explore the theme of identity and belonging. Her recent publication, The Happy Hsiungs, deals with these issues in relation to a Chinese family living in 1930s Britain.
Diana will talk about her work researching and writing about Chinese people in Britain.
The event is free of charge and there is no need to book.
Please note this talk replaces that of Sigrid Combüchen, who is unable to attend.
