Organised by The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC)'s School of English, as part of The Bookworm Literary Festival, a yearly international literary festival held in various cities across China, a host of critically acclaimed writers from all over the world will come to UNNC to take part in a series of public talks.
Ali Alizadeh was born in Tehran two years before the Iranian Revolution and migrated to Australia in the 1990s. He writes poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction, drama and literary criticism. Currently a lecturer in literature and creative writing at Monash University, Melbourne, he has taught at universities in Australia, China, Turkey and United Arab Emirates. Transactions is his seventh book and is a collection of linked stories that explore, question and critique global capitalism.
Ali will talk about cross-cultural writing and contemporary literary theory and take questions from the audience.
The event is free of charge and there is no need to book.
