Digital Resources in the Humanities and Arts 2011

Date(s)
04 (15:00) - 07 September 2011 (15:00)
Description

The Centre for Advanced Studies (CAS) at The University of Nottingham is delighted to host the 15th annual conference of the Digital Resources in the Humanities and Arts (DRHA) at The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC).

This year's conference will explore the new connectivities in societies and cultures which are enabled by the blending of virtual and physical space, the traversing of time and space through the virtual, and the evolution of innovative methodologies. Crossing disciplines and challenging boundaries within the humanities, arts and the creative industries, this conference will examine critically familiar notions of the ‘local’, the ‘global’ and the ‘network’ across the cultural spectrum.

The DRHA 2011 conference will run from 4 - 7 September 2011

Confirmed keynote speakers include:

  • Masaki Fujihata,  Director of Graduate School of Film and New Media, Tokyo University of the Arts
  • Aphra Kerr,  Department of Sociology, National University of Ireland, Maynooth
  • Feng Mengbo,  Independent artist, Beijing
  • Stephen Robertson, Department of History, University of Sydney, Australia
