International Karaoke Singing Contest successfully hosted

On 8th December 2016, the first International Karaoke Singing Contest jointly organized by Confucius Institute and Language Center was successfully closed in Robin Hood Restaurant. Nine excellent language learners sang in their target language (including Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish) brought us great joy and happiness.

Marion Sadoux, Director of Language Center was making an opening speech.

Muizz, an American was singing Xiaopingguo in Chinese. His performance was really nice and funny.

Xintong & Lulu were singing a very beautiful Japanese song.

Ieva, a pretty girl from Lithuania, she was singing a Spanish song Vivir mi vida. She is the Champion of the contest.

The judges were enjoying the show and judging the contestants.

It was a wonderful opportunity to stimulate the enthusiasm of students for language learning and facilitate the communication amongst students of different cultural backgrounds through cultural integration. Not only the singers but also many audiences said they enjoyed the evening and would expect more such wonderful activities in the future.
