Research Interests

Dr. Pang’s research interest, experience and expertise are primarily focused on renewable energy and manufacturing of advanced materials (from renewable sources) for biomedical applications, particularly in anti-cancer therapy. Current research areas include, but not limited to, combined anti-cancer therapy (chemotherapy, photothermal therapy, pro-oxidation therapy, etc) biomass and coal combustion (solid fuel combustion for power generation purposes), solar energy (concentrated solar power), oil shale (microwave enhanced extraction of oil/kerogen) and flue gas/air pollution control (mercury removal).
