CIF Team obtains grant from the National Social Science Fund of China

UNNC CIF research project on risk prevention and regulation innovation of informal financial institutions was awarded a grant from the National Social Science Fund of China according to the annual funding list of 2019 published by the National Office for Philosophy and Social Science.

Entitled “Research on Risk Prevention and Supervision Innovation of Informal Financial Institutions under the Background of Fintech”, the three-year project aims to provide a theoretical basis and technical support for informal finance regulation. The research group will use the funding to work on financial risk measurement, contagion mechanisms and regulatory technology in informal markets. 

The principal investigator, Dr. Xiuping Hua, is currently an Associate Professor of Finance at Nottingham University Business School China, Director of UNNC-NFTZ Blockchain Laboratory, Executive Deputy Director of Centre for Ningbo Center for New Structural Economics and Secretary-General for CIF at the People’s Bank of China Ningbo Branch and UNNC.
