Dr Abby Zhou is an Associate Professor in International Business and Strategy with NUBS China. Her research broadly covers knowledge management and human resource management in the areas of international business. Dr Zhou owns rich experience and knowledge in this field since she has been orchestrated numerous research and knowledge exchange projects in several international research institutions and organizations. She is serving as a professional committee member in HR manager association and providing professional suggestions for both government and firms. She has also held visiting positions in the Business School of Aalto University, Finland.

Dr Zhou has taught at both UG and PG levels. She has managed and taught modules such as International Business Environment, Organizational Behavior, Performance Management, and Research Methods. She has also supervised dissertations and research projects of Ph.D, MBA and executive students.

Research Interests

Dr Abby Zhou’s research achievement has been well recognized by both academic world and practitioners. She has been awarded and nominated for multiple times by world leading research associations, e.g. Association of International Business (AIB), Academy of Management (AoM). She has published numerous articles in knowledge management, EMNCs, and international human resource management in both leading academic and practitioner journals such as Journal of World Business, Asia Pacific Journal of Management, Management and Organization Review, Personnel Review, Journal of Management & Organization, Tsinghua Management Review, Business Review. She is a senior editor of Management and Organization Review. She has successfully led and participated a number of key research grants, which were funded by well-known funding bodies, e.g. World Bank and NSFC. Those research projects cover the areas of globalization, EMNCs, and knowledge management.
