Kian is from Malaysia; he completed his undergraduate at the University of Nottingham Malaysia; and his Masters and PhD in Economics at the Nottingham School of Economics, UK. He then spent a year as a research fellow at the Department of Economics, University of Melbourne and worked for two years as an Assistant Professor at Nottingham Malaysia before joining NUBS China in 2019.

Teaching

Kian teaches applied statistics (Quantitative Methods 1b) and numerical analysis (Stochastic Calculus and Numerical Analysis). He also convenes and delivers topics on applied econometrics to PhD students (Topics in Advanced Econometrics).
