Thomas Løge Hansteen, science counsellor from the Royal Norwegian Embassy, Beijing, will be visiting The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) on Monday 20 January and has offered to give a talk on Sino-Norwegian cooperation and to explore the possibilities for research and educational cooperation with UNNC.
About the speaker
Thomas Hansteen has worked at the University of Oslo, the Norwegian ministry of Agriculture, and in the Research Council of Norway. As the Norwegian science counsellor to China his mission is to increase the Sino-Norwegian cooperation, and to serve the Norwegian government with information about the development of Chinese research, innovation and education policies. His main interests are to learn more about The University of Nottingham Ningbo China, to explore possibilities for research cooperation, and to discuss possible modes of financing of research cooperation. He is also interested in educational cooperation. The interests are not only linked to The University of Nottingham, but also to the Ningbo region in general. Aquaculture is one of several topics of interest.
