Last winter an exhibition of Modern British Art was held at the Djanogly Art Gallery on the campus of the University of Nottingham, UK. The exhibition was from the collection of the University of Nottingham alumnus David Ross and consisted of works by British artists from the 1950s to the first decade of this century. On 17th September, Professor Fintan Cullen, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Education at UNNC and an art historian will talk about this collection and introduce a virtual tour of the exhibition held in Nottingham earlier this year. Artists included in the virtual tour include Patrick Caulfield, Richard Hamilton, Peter Blake, David Hockney, and Joe Tilson whose Gregarin, Star, Triangle (1968) is illustrated here.
