The Centre for English Language Education is at the heart of the University’s support system for international students whose first language is not English or whose qualifications were not obtained in an English-medium education system. The Centre is probably the largest of its kind in Asia, with more than 80 tutors who have specialised in English for Academic Purposes giving our students the support and academic skills training they need to fulfil their potential.
The division has grown out of the School of Computer Science and IT at The University of Nottingham in the UK. Lecturers pursue leading-edge research in areas such as automated scheduling, mixed reality, interactive media and foundations of programming.
Highly experienced specialists deliver programmes on English language, linguistics and literature. They offer academic and pastoral support to students within a dynamic, student-centred environment.
