Life Cycle 7 appeals for riders
UNNC is looking for keen cyclists to join the Life Cycle team as they tackle a 4 day, 540km tour of Zhejiang Province to raise money for charity.
Bear in mind that you should be capable of, and experienced at, long days in the saddle (8 hours or so), and daily distances are approximately 130-140km. You should also be capable of sustaining a 25km/hr speed on flat ground and be experienced at tackling climbs in excess of 500m.
Note that this ride is suitable for road bikes or higher-end hybrids - mountain bikes will not be adequate for the distance or pace. If you are keen and fit but lacking an appropriate bike, please get in touch anyway - we may be able to arrange something.
The ride will take place during the October National Holiday week, between October 1-7 (exact dates TBC) and will be led by UNNC Provost Chris Rudd.
Cyclist recruitment is open to staff and students. If interested, please contact Matt Wallwork in the first instance, or Wendy Ren for more information.
