Yikun Sports, founded by six University graduates, has become one of the first companies to move into the new UNNC Incubator.

Joint-founder, Xue Zhixing said that he viewed the Incubator as an international platform that he hoped would help Yikun and other companies expand into more international markets. He cited the wonderful facilities, the international environment and UNNC's talented student base as great reasons for small businesses to set up inside the Incubator.

The company recently secured a substantial 4 million RMB investment thanks to Xue's recent appearance on the reality TV show, Chinese Partner. The pledge came from expert panel member, Xu Xiaoping (founder of the Zhen Fund) who told the TV audience that "a great new sport was born". Xu told Xue: "What you are undertaking is groundbreaking and we will continue to follow your every move."

Xue impressed the TV panel not only with his frisbee demonstration but also with his confidence about the growth potential in major overseas markets such as North America. Xue told reporters after the show: "I think they felt our passion and ambition and believed in our ability and enthusiasm to promote the sport of flying discs.”

Yikun Sport was originally founded as a disc-sports manufacturer but has since diversified. It exports its frisbees to fifty countries and territories around the world and was the first disc-sports company to be approved by the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF).

The UNNC Incubator provides more than 200 working places for tenants. For more information and photos, click here: http://www.nottingham.edu.cn/en/about/ningbo-nottingham-international-incubator-park/news/unnc-incubator-park-i-is-ready.aspx
