UNNC offers broader range of international accreditations
The Faculty of Science and Engineering is now able to offer Chemical Engineering and Environmental Engineering courses that have received full accreditation from professional international organisations.
This achievement brings the total of accredited undergraduate engineering programmes to nine, further validating the high quality of education offered at UNNC.
Of the latest additions, UNNC’s Environmental Engineering courses are now accredited by the UK Institute of Materials, Minerals, and Mining. The University’s Chemical Engineering courses receive accreditation by the UK Institute of Chemical Engineering.
UNNC Provost Chris Rudd stated that the new accreditations were testimony to the investment that the University has recently made in academic and scientific research and personnel. “These accreditations propel the standards and education offered by our Science and Engineering Faculty to that of a truly global university,” he said. “But ultimately it’s not about UNNC – it’s about all those young people that spend several years studying in Ningbo and graduate with universally respected degrees upon which to build their future careers.”
The new accreditations reinforce UNNC’s commitment to offer UK-style teaching methods, standards and certified qualifications. The University’s teaching models and standards are also regularly reviewed and approved by UK Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education.
