Li Dak Sum Chair Professor Scheme

Join a unique British University in China

The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) will recruit up to 20 Li Dak Sum Chair Professors across a range of disciplines. Each chair will be equipped with a team and associated support in funding, facilities and services. The scheme is a key initiative to advance the University’s teaching, research, knowledge exchange and global engagement.

The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) was the first Sino-foreign university to open its doors in China. This award winning campus offering a UK style education has grown to establish a student body of over 7,000 in just 12 years. UNNC is part of the University of Nottingham’s Global University, and offers unique teaching and research opportunities in a highly dynamic economy. UNNC has three faculties: business, humanities and social sciences, as well as science and engineering. We offer full degree programmes from undergraduate to PhD level that have the same quality assurance standards as the University of Nottingham, UK.

Ningbo is one of the most dynamic cities in China. It is the 4th biggest port in the world, a hub for innovation and vibrant spirit of entrepreneurism. The city’s excellent transport links mean that Ningbo is easy to travel around and an ideal base from which to explore China and Asia.
