Welcome and Induction Week for 2017 September Entry

Welcome and induction Week is a chance for all new PhD students to find out more about the dedicated support and available facilities.

Our induction presentations are delivered by staff from International Office, Student Affair Office, Infromation Services (e-learning, library and IT services etc.) and Graduate School.

It's an opportunity to hear about how Graduate School and related offices can support with your study, research and training and development. Spaces of some sessions are offered on a first-come first served basis so please arrive early.

Certificate Check (GS)

Degree students need to bring relevant certificates to registration room to check on 16th September.

  • Recent passport sized photos (45mm x 35mm) – please write your name on the back of each photo
  • Your ID card (Chinese nationals) – please make a copy
  • Your passport (Non-Chinese nationals) – please make a copy of the page(s) in your passport mentioning your personal data
  • Your original offer letter
  • The receipt of fees payment (tuition fee and insurance fee) if applicable– please make a copy if you need the original one
  • All of your previous degree certificates (Bachelor’s degree & Master’s degree) – please make a copy
  • All of your original academic transcripts (Bachelor’s degree & Master’s degree) - please make a copy
  • Certificates that show the terms of condition (if there is any) are satisfied - please make a copy

Survival in China series talks feature a wider range of subjects you would like to know when you first start in China. Each talk last around 10-20 minutes with time for questions afterwards, Example topic: visa support, insurance claim, language learning opportunities, adapting to new life, how to use WeChat, Alipay, Simcard

  • 543 RMB (health check fee) + 8 RMB (express fee) in cash
  • 3 passport photos (recent 2-inch photos, full face without hat)

  • Female applicant need to avoid period (menstruation)
