The grant will provide up to RMB15000 to cover economy travel to Chile and subsistence for the successful UNNC-based applicant. The University of Nottingham will nominate up to three ECRs to attend the workshop. The nominations will be selected so that a representative from each campus (UK, Ningbo and Malaysia) will attend.
About the Workshop
Theme: Interculturality and Multiculturalism: the challenges for changing societies
Date: 04 October - 06 October 2017
Venue: Pontificia Universidad de Católica de Chile, Chile
There are at least two major social contexts that bring about challenges regarding interculturality and multiculturalism in changing societies: human migration and intergroup relations involving indigenous - non-indigenous communities.

The ECR workshop will address the concepts of interculturality and multiculturalism in changing societies by stimulating discussion among participants and distinguished keynote speakers as well as academics that have developed research on these issues from diverse disciplines such as Philosophy, Social Psychology, Economy, History and Anthropology. In addition, there will be the opportunity for participants to learn about specific methodological tools involving quantitative and qualitative approaches.

How to Apply
Researchers must have been awarded their PhD and have no more than 8 years post-PhD experience.
