Our degree programmes cover a wide range of core subjects, including the study of modern European and Asian languages, communications theory and research methodologies, society and culture, the news media, mass communications, arts and communications, digital media and globalisation. As well as taking core communications subjects, students are able to choose from a range of optional modules offered by the Divisions of International Studies, International Business, and English Studies.
Students enrol in an interdisciplinary programme of modules drawn from history, politics, area studies and communications. These are closely integrated so that students can analyse the development of ideas and civilisations and relate them to contemporary thought on globalisation and international relations. Each course examines the wide and complex range of social, economic and political forces which contribute to the shape of an increasingly interdependent world. Students also have an opportunity to take optional modules throughout the University, including foreign languages, international communications, English studies and business.
