Grand open day on Sunday 16 April

Programme

Registration From 8:30, outside the Lord Dearing Building (DB).

University Orchestra performance:   8:30-9:00, in the DH Lawrence Auditorium.

10:30-11:30, in the Siyuan Auditorium.

Welcome speeches: 9:00-10:00, in the DH Lawrence Auditorium.

Meet and chat: 8:30-16:00, our lecturers and students will be at various stands around campus, to discuss your study and career options.

The Sir Peter Mansfield Building (PMB): Faculty of Science and Engineering (Architecture and Built Environment, Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Geographical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Mechanical, Materials and Manufacturing Engineering)

The DH Lawrence Auditorium: Nottingham University Business School China, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (Centre for English Language Education, Economics, Education, English, International Studies, International Communications and Language Centre)

Admissions and Careers stand: 8:30-16:00 in the DH Lawrence Auditorium.

Global Engagement stand: 8:30-16:00 in the DH Lawrence Auditorium.

Student Support and Wellbeing stand: 8:30-16:00, in the DH Lawrence Auditorium.

Campus tour: 8:30-16:00, Students from WEAVER Organisation will show you around campus. Join in the games and win prizes!

Join us for the campus "Colour Run": 10:15, outside the Sir Peter Mansfield Building.

All in the name of fun, Campus Ambassadors will throw colourful corn powder and water balloons at participants as they run past the clock tower, the Lord Dearing Building and the Sir Colin Campbell Sports Centre. There will also be a "Bubble Party" at the finish line.

The route distance is 0.5km for children (smaller than 130cm) and 2km for those taller than 130cm. Registration from 8:30-9:30am at the Colour Run registration point outside the Sir Peter Mansfield Building. Participants will get free UNNC T-shirts and goggles.

Participants are advised to register as early as possible due to limited places. Please warm up before the start of the event!

Demo class: Demo classes give you an opportunity to observe lectures and sample our world-class teaching. More classes will be added soon.

Engage with our student societies and enjoy the culture of our "global village": 10:00-16:00, at displays in the campus residential zones. Presentations of traditional culture, clothes and cuisine from our international students as well as shows and exhibitions from our student societies and organisations. 

Nottingham Green Fair: 10:00-16:00, in the campus residential zones. Buy health food and special goods or join in our workshops. Part of the revenue will be donated to Life Cycle 6 charity.

Attending a mini open day gives you the opportunity to speak to our staff and students, find out key course information and get a feel for student life at The University of Nottingham Ningbo China.
